Erasmus Day 1 in Kladno 2025

After a long day travelling through France, we arrived Sunday night in Kladno and met our host families.

This morning was a time dedicated to the presentation of the project and the different partners. We got into groups and started working.

Then we went through the long tunnels and basement of the school and were surprised by the fact that all the students and many teachers are wearing slippers at school !

We went to the Town Hall and learnt more about the industrial past of the city.

In the afternoon we visited the UCEEB which is a research lab on sustainable construction. Many materials are being tested there to improve their resistance and performance.

Later, we stopped in the Lidice Memorial : during the WWII this village was bombed and all its inhabitatnts were gazed to death. This was extremely moving.

Erasmus Day 2 in Kladno 2025

 We started the day by a visit of the city of Kladno, where the school is situated.

The rest of the day was dedicated to the project, we finished drawing the sketches then went in IT room to digitize the sketches.

We used specific architect softwares such as Archicad 28 then we used cardboard to create the models.

Erasmus Day 3 in Kladno 2025

Today we visited the city of Prague – named Praha in Czech.

We started the visit in the surroundings of the Castle which is one of the biggest in Europe (much bigger than Carcassonne) and then headed down along the historic part of the city.

The old houses are colourful and have emblems on their facades, this was used as a way to inform about the family who used to live there, before using numbers.

Then we went to the Cathedral and discovered 5 different clock towers !

Finally we had a late lunch and some spare time with our European colleagues.

Erasmus Day 4 in Kladno 2025

Today was a day dedicated to finish the models. Work, work and music... of course!

Erasmus Day 5 in Kladno 2025 

Our final day in Kladno was following a strict timing as we our taxi for the airport was coming to get us around midday.

We were given some time to finish the cardboard models and to finalize our presentations.

Then each team went on the auditorium stage to present their bioclimatic house and the different steps of its making.

Talking in front of so many people was a bit impressive but we did well.

Once the presentations were over it was already time to say goodbye, give one last high-five and shakes.
