Erasmus: Day 1
On our arrival in Dublin, we were greeted by the rain and the extremely low temperatures.
The first day was essentially centered on the meeting of the members of each country.
We reminded the principles of Bioclimatism and passive houses to our colleagues.
Then we visited the school which is a catholic school for girls. This type of school is very common in Ireland though a law will enforce mixed gender schools by 2030 in the country. The principle of secularism - laicity does not exist here, as the students attend mass on specific events.
An introduction to Irish folklore was organized, as we got to participate in a dancing session!
Then we went for a visit of the town - or the village- under the rain, of course!
Day 2
Today was centered on the discovery of the Irish folklore.
The students cooked a soda bread, practiced Irish Folk Dance...
We then hiked on the land and and the bravest participated to a bog jumping contest! The bog is the Irish name for the peat.
After a warm shower we all gathered around a nice hot chocolate.
